Back to School, Back to School

For the past few years, I've used a pink Vineyard Vines tote to use for school. My freshman and sophomore years I used:
Freshman year it was whales and sophomore year it was pink with white stars!

This year, I was excited to browse all the fun pink Vineyard Vines bags to see what I wanted to use for Junior year. I thought I was going to go with the pink burgees tote:
When I was at home over the summer, I found my backpack from high school with a BIG pink embroidered set of my initials on the front, I knew this would be better! I am using this year, instead of the tote, my North Face Borealis backpack:
I figured my real backpack would be a lot heartier than the totes that I've managed to nearly destroy the past two years. They only use they seem to have are beach bags since the silk is a little worn and the handles are a little less tough!

What do y'all use for school bags? Do you rely on a tote or backpack?

Keep on entering Tuesday's GIVEAWAY from The Sassy Palmetto!!

I use a longchamp or VV tote. Lately though I've been thinking I need to go back to a backpack! My back gets so sore!

I'm also going to be using a backpack! I bought the black MEC Deluxe Bookbag Daypack. Totes don't give me the support I need!

I have a VV customized tote for classes that are close to my sorority house, but many of my major classes are in our stadium which is on the other side of campus, and I need more support for that, so this year I bought a seersucker backpack in pink that has my monogram in green! It works great for me since I don't have many things to take to class.

How is the weather in Columbia?! Are you guys having classes today? Stay safe this weekend!

I'm not in college anymore, but I still have the LLBean backpack I used back then. It's also been on some major trips around the globe and is still going strong! Might not be the most trendy backback but it sure is durable. It's also comfortable and holds a laptop computer plus at least a textbook or two.

I always used an LL Bean backpack (with my initials on it, of course). I like tote bags, but they were never big enough to hold some of the huge books I had for science or math classes.

I think a backpack is the way to go on days when you have lots of books/computer to carry. My totes got way too heavy!

I have the VV Blue Burgee Rope tote I got for my birthday last year and LOVE it. But it does get heavy fast and hurts my back. When I was in school I used the North Face Wasatch back pack and it held up for 4 years!

I was a longchamp devotee, but heavy law books have forced me over into using a backpack. I'm using a North Face Recon...so far I really like it...it's super comfy!

I do a backpack, i'm a devoted LL Bean user. However somedays i find a tote to be better, especially if i have to carry clothes, i found a huge (and really inexpensive tote bag) online. It's very adorable and it's lasted me four years of hard usage.
