I took the plunge (albeit late) and bought a faux fur vest. I saw the one I wanted in a store in our mall called "XSRE". There isn't much about it online, but it JUST opened up in the mall. It's primarily all accessories (get the name? Admittedly it took us awhile...) with a few clothing type items but almost all forever21 caliber baubles.
This Club Monaco version is the closest match I could find to mine, but mine's darker brown. I was feeling inspired after my friend Alli had visited me and worn her knockout one. After that I was hooked. I was on the hunt! I finally found mine and it's VERY loose fitting, one-size-fits-all type deal but I really like it. It's a little late in the season to be starting to wear it, but I'm looking forward to trying it at least through January. Here's hoping (but not really) that there are still a few cold days in there!

I really like the trend, and bought a cheap one from LOFT last year but have only worn it once....I feel like I would wear it more if I had invested in a more expensive one.

I am obsessed with fur vests right now. Lately, my "go to" has been leggings and boots with a Lilly Pulitzer Elsa top and a fur vest. Can't wait to see your OOTDs with the new vest!
I have a faux fur vest for months and it is the best piece in my wardrobe! I usually wear it over a blouse or a biker jacket with riding boots or biker boots. It looks very classy with the blouse ( add pearls to it ;)) and the biker version is for colder days in fall or winter in a shopping mall or when you have a party outdoors.
So all in all it is never out of fashion and a good investment :)
