Last First Day

Today is my first last day of school. I'm starting a semester with a 4-class course load, friends by my side, and unseasonably warm temperatures blanketing campus. It's an extremely exciting semester, but I'm 100% admitting I'm nervous to start and definitely not ready.
I love my school. The University of South Carolina has presented me with more opportunities than I even knew how to comprehend. I have been able to do so much, meet so many people and learn immense amounts about myself that there will never been enough I can do to give back to this school.

Needless to say, I'm extremely anxious about today. I'm excited to see what the spring has in store with interviews, baseball games, graduation festivities and even more. I am nervous for the spring because of those same interviews, uncertainty and departing a place I've settled into as my home for 4 years.

The University of South Carolina will forever hold a special place in my heart. There's no doubt about that. Today going to be a great day, a scary one, but a great one!

Forever to thee!

xxKatie

My last quarter in college was probably one of the most enjoyable, but also a strange time. I felt like I had one foot in the world of school and one foot in my brand new, independent adult life. It's also when I made some of the most indelible memories with my college friends. Enjoy your last semester for all its newness and its bittersweetness. I'm sure it's going to be great!

Ah I remember the feeling- I was the exact same way! Enjoy every bit of it and take LOTS of pictures, you'll be looking back on them 3 years from now when you miss being with your best friends all the time! :)

Congratulations and best of luck to you. As a recent grad, my advice is to soak in every moment of your last semester. Take tons of pictures, stay up later than usual, go out on a night you wouldn't usually and work harder than ever before! While I am loving the "real world", I left a part of my heart at JMU and miss it every day!
