DIY Monogrammed Phone Background

I have a pink OtterBox that has treated me very well and saved me MANY times from shattering a front or back of my iPhone. While Lilly, Kate Spade, Tory Burch and Pantone make great super attractive phone covers, I am a tried-and-true OtterBox fan!

Since it's rather boring, I try to spice it up as much as I can with backgrounds! One of my friends urged me to download the new update for 3Initials app! BOY-OH-BOY is it cute!

You can change the size, color, background, type and number of colors for all kinds of different monograms! Last Sunday, my friends were ooh-ing and ahh-ing over my background so I let them make their own:

This was what they were able to come up with! As you can see, you can change the size, orientation and background for all of them!
I tweeted this photo over the weekend and y'all were very inquisitive as to where to make the background and now you know! I was referring to the 17 text messages Friday night that I had received after falling asleep at 8pm watching the "Hot Donuts" episode of Duck Dynasty. I woke up at 11pm and didn't know if it was daytime or nighttime I was so disoriented. All my friends were wondering where I was and if I was coming out! Instead of y'all noticing that, you saw my fun 3Initals background!

This is my current phone background and reminds me very much of my yellow seersucker Carolina Cup dress--it even had pink embroidery!

Be sure to check out the 3Initials application in the App Store on your iPhone!

An Update for the Update

I am a big ol' iPhone noob. I'll openly admit it. I don't know how to do a lot, and I hardly ever really use the apps that I have.

So naturally, I didn't really understand the big deal with an update. I didn't get why it was important or why it was even really necessary to download. THEN, I heard there were new emojis, so that was really the only reason I downloaded it!

Update pros:
I like Maps. I used the MapQuest app before, but I now prefer the Maps app!
I LOOOOVE the new emojis. I am an aggressive emoji user...
I haven't updated Twitter, so I'm not sure the difference, but I've heard there's now a big disconnect. (yikes!)

Update cons:
It kept telling me I had "1 minute" to go...clearly I had far longer than that.
I wasn't sure if I could do anything else during the update, so I just let it sit.
I wish there was a way like in Blackberry's that you could schedule your update (or is there and I don't know?)

What did you think of the update?

Welcome to the World!

My friend Siri and I have entered the iPhone world!
I also Instagrammed my first photo last night! I am SO excited to be in the iPhone world, finally!!!!! Follow me on Instagram: letsbepreppy!

Are there any apps that I MUST have? Any good iPhone advice? I'm learning as I go, but LOVING it so far! I can't believe it took me so long!

Cracked OUT

It's actually kind of ironic that the background screen is "Love" on that BlackBerry. Today I have to do one of my least favorite things in the world: go get cell phone help.

I mean, really though, does anyone enjoy going to get technical support. I'm hoping that today I will wake up with lots of patience and support in order to see what Verizon can do for me!

I have recently been having SO. MANY. PROBLEMS. with my BlackBerry. Just yesterday, I was trying to tweet or use the internet and all of a sudden, with no warning, the screen would turn black and it would do a soft reset (as I've learned after doing some research). I tweeted about my issues and SO many people responded saying they had similar problems and that I either had a battery issue or it was about to really bite the dust. Unfortunately I'm not up for a renewal until June, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Verizon will have some kind of affordable option for me to take advantage of.

All I have to say is: iPhone, here I come!

Christmas Eve!

I got such a kick out of the Santa and Siri Apple iPhone commercial about Christmas Eve!

This was an old Christmas card from our family! My mom always crafts up cards to send out and this one was from many a year ago. We made that sand/snowlady at our beach house in Bethany Beach! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve that is safe and happy! Today is a great day to be thankful for health, family, being together, friends and everything else that we're privileged enough to have!

Merry Merry Christmas Eve y'all!!
