Through the Looking Glass

As much as I complain about my phone, I was thinking how funny the compilation of the pictures on it is. Think of your phone photos: snapped quickly, usually under silly conditions, or maybe in a funny place. Here are a few of my last phone photos:

Cracked OUT

It's actually kind of ironic that the background screen is "Love" on that BlackBerry. Today I have to do one of my least favorite things in the world: go get cell phone help. 

I mean, really though, does anyone enjoy going to get technical support. I'm hoping that today I will wake up with lots of patience and support in order to see what Verizon can do for me! 

I have recently been having SO. MANY. PROBLEMS. with my BlackBerry. Just yesterday, I was trying to tweet or use the internet and all of a sudden, with no warning, the screen would turn black and it would do a soft reset (as I've learned after doing some research). I tweeted about my issues and SO many people responded saying they had similar problems and that I either had a battery issue or it was about to really bite the dust. Unfortunately I'm not up for a renewal until June, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Verizon will have some kind of affordable option for me to take advantage of.

All I have to say is: iPhone, here I come!

Blackberry Troubles

Unfortunately I've been having some issues with my Blackberry. I absolutely LOVE it, but for the past few days, I've been trying to download my system update and it freezes right when I've downloaded 72% of it. It won't get any further. My problems started last Saturday and I thought it might have been just because I hadn't turned it off in awhile, but I've tried re-starting it, re-setting it, and leaving it off for long periods of time. I've tried it in all the different modes and I'm now starting to not receive BBMs! I'm not quite sure what to do! If my problem continues through the weekend (which I hope it doesn't!!) I'm probably going to have to resort to going to the store--on a weekend, yuck--to see what they can do for me!

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to helping out a BBerry?! I'd hugely appreciate it!!

My Computer Advice

I get a lot of questions about my computer:

I got it from a website called uniqueskins.com! You can find my detailed post here all the way from November of 2009. I still have the same cover on my computer and definitely recommend the company. I didn't really want to buy a super expensive hard top cover, so instead I looked around to find this option. You can google or use different websites to find your favorite print and then with an easy upload you can add/move/copy/paste it all around on the workspace provided in the website! It's literally as easy as 1-2-3! They're not expensive and everyone here at school who's used the same website have been able to find a good coupon code online!

If anyone needs one of these covers for any piece of technology: iPod, iPhone, smartphone, iPad, computer, laptop, Nook/Kindle, anything, I'd definitely try these! You can even coordinate all of your different items to match! At one point, my old phone had a matching cover on it too:

Such a fun DIY (sorta)! Naturally I chose my favorite Lilly print from Jubilee Resort and couldn't be happier to still have it! I haven't gotten sick of it because there are so many colors and options. My desktop on the inside of my computer even has a shade of pink that matches the outside. Be sure to play around a little to perfect your design!

BlackBerry Background

I know this is two BB posts in a row, BUT it's important. I got a lot of questions about the background I put on my Curve, and I'll show you how using the BB Browser or facebook application:

1. Join the Re-Lilly Group on facebook
2. Use their photo album titled Lilly Pulitzer Prints/Wallpapers
3. Search around and choose one you like:

These were all ones I considered since I have the fuschia curve!

4. Use the menu button and from there it guides you along!

This was one of the first few things I did when I got my phone! I had to have a fun background to make my phone more me since I'm not gonna get a cover for a little while.

Anyone have tips for finding good pictures? Any secret places for prints? Do share!

New Phone for Me! Any BlackBerry Advice?

I'm now officially a BlackBerry girl! I have the fuschia Curve 9330 and I love it already! I snagged this background from the Re-Lilly Group on facebook:

I couldn't decide between Dirty Shirley and some of the more recent prints because they all have the best shade of pink in them that matches the outside of the phone. I am a little lost with BB world, but I'm slowly getting my footing. I was on the phone for awhile the second day I got my BB with Verizon Tech support, so I hope my phone is running properly, but I'm not 100% sure yet. 

Any BlackBerry tips? I'll take ABSOLUTELY anything! I have all of two BBM contacts, and I just learned how to scan other BB's which is too cool. I really like the features so far, and having email at my fingertips is the best upgrade I've ever made. I don't really know how I didn't make this switch faster. Definitely a big fan already, plus how can you resist the color. When we were in the store the salesman was like, "Would you like to see the charcoal color?" and my sister and I looked at each other and in unison told him we were only interested in the pink (naturally)!

I'll take any and all BlackBerry knowledge that any of you have. I'm your BlackBerry sponge!!

Best Purchase Recently
