Southern Wedding Week: The Planning (+a Giveaway!)

Everyone knows I have a BIG ole' affinity for weddings. Plain and simple. Although, I do think most girls would probably share some/all of my wedding "thing". I absolutely love Say Yes to the Dress and SYTTD Atlanta. They're too much fun to watch! Another wedding publication I love is Southern Weddings! This magazine has such good suggestions and features for the perfect southern wedding!
They've done a big revamp of their website, so what better way to kick off a new website and a week of unique southern wedding ideas than to host a giveaway? The wonderful ladies over at SWMag have offered a copy of the most recent version of the magazine (V3) and I thought it would be just PERFECT for all of you readers!

I know some of you are probably planning weddings yourself or in weddings as part of the bridal party, and I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to get a little inspiration!

Plus you have to check out my personal favorite part of the website...allllll the way down at the bottom of their pages, they have a "Southern Phrase of the Day"! They are too cute AND you can tweet them!!

To enter this giveaway, leave a fun wedding comment (about your future colors, best wedding favor your ever got, coolest dress you've seen, etc.) for 1 entry and start following @iloveswmag for another! This is such a fun wedding opportunity for anyone else who's big into weddings like me!! Good luck! I'll announce a winner Friday January 7, 2011 at 9:00am so enter by Thursday at Midnight

xxKatie

I just had a minor panic attack this morning realizing I have 5 months to plan an entire wedding! One of the only things I have picked are my colors: navy and green (Think kate spade).

I follow you and SW mag on twitter!

All I know is I want a summer wedding! I also love J.Crew and Lela & Rose bridesmaid dresses.

Totally agree. SWMag is wonderful! In the south a fall wedding is OUT, because of football season and summer is WAY too hot. I am a teacher, so is there not really any other time than winter/spring.Not a spring color fan. I think early December/January would be lovely. I believe colors would be hard to pick, but I think anything deep and romantic would be ideal, such as a dark plum.. Then, you could use pretty greens, whites, and maybe some branches thrown in their for the bouquets!

I can't wait to get married! I want to have a beach wedding (my dream) and my colors will be Tiffany blue. Turquoise is one of my favorite colors in the world! I want my wedding to be simple yet romantic and splurge more on the honeymoon - like going to Fiji :)

I thought I always knew what I wanted in my wedding, but so many things have changed in the past few years! All I know for sure is that I want a big catholic church wedding w/ maybe a big dress and then a party dress haha
