Chick Flicks

I love chick flicks, often the key movies I want to see ARE chick flicks! Inspired by this chick flicks article on 3 that should be remade for TV, I wanted to come up with my own list of flicks that should be remade!

So many remake movies are coming out, especially around Christmas and they include major remakes including "Les Miserables" AND "The Great Gatsby". Two MAJOR movies (and among my favorites) in my mind!

Let me preface this by saying, I don't want a remake like "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights" but a real remake with all the same songs (if it's a musical) and the same script. Not sequels or anything like that, but a real remake--kinda like the most recent "Footloose". So, here goes MY list for movies that should be remade with new updates!!

Grease

Grease is my all time favorite movie EVER! I love it and although I like Grease 2, a real remake would be AWESOME! I know it would be difficult to update the whole "high school gang" type cliques between the boys, but I think that they could swing it!

The Sound of Music

My dad (although not really an LBP reader) is probably fuuuuuming for me writing this--TSOM is one of his faves so I'm sure he disagrees with me! This one wouldn't need updating per se, but I would love to see this one remade!

Dirty Dancing

Having mentioned the mediocre "Havana Nights", I would LOVE to see "Dirty Dancing" remade with a new cast but definitely the same feel as the original!

I know, I know, "Don't fix something that's not broken!" and by no means are any of these movies broken, but it would definitely lend some new life to some of these movies and I'm sure I'd be among the first in line to see any of them!
