Saving For

I decided that this summer I have a few important things to do. Some are personal, some are task-oriented (i.e. needlepoint a belt--that includes learning how to needlepoint...), and others are just random (start looking at suits). They all have different goals but are not too difficult and can be done over the course of the summer. I also recently decided that I'm going to buy a good pair of cow(girl)boy boots. I've done a lot of research on brands, lifetime, what you should spend on them, etc. and I've come to a conclusion. Not only that, my conclusion is on sale!
Frye, Billy Pull-On in Brown

I found these on Amazon and I have the Amazon Prime membership so I'll save more than $70 AND get free shipping. They're still pricey but all the reviews say that no other boots compare to Frye. Reviewers say that they've had theirs for years with little wear and tear and since I'm in the South, I've decided I need to finally get a pair. One user even said, "Spectacularly well made boots, even Amazon's price is incredible given the quality and design." Dear lady, you sold me. Also, the Billy boot isn't too high of a heel and comes in what I'd say is the ideal boot brown. Overall everyone is saying to go up a 1/2 size (hmm...an 11 will be hard to track down, but Amazon still has it!) and I was lucky to find an Amazon vendor who has my size AND the good deal!

If you haven't heard of Amazon Prime and you're a college student, GO. SIGN. UP. It's free if you have a university email address (otherwise it's $75 for normal people) and gives you high return on textbook sell back, better deals on textbooks, free shipping more often than not and random good deals (just like my future boots).

Anyone have these boots? Do you love them? Any good tips/tricks for breaking them in?

xxKatie

Ohhh my goodness! I love these boots and have been dying for a pair of Frye cowboy boots. I had no idea they had them on Amazon... the price is still high but compared to how much they normally are, is pretty good. I'll definitely be saving up my money for these- thanks for sharing!

THANKS for the info on amazon prime!!! I'm signing up now. Love these cowboy boots!!! Since I go to school in the south (westish) I have needed cowboy boots and just haven't gotten them. They're prefect for going out with dresses!!

Also, I worked at the needlepoint shop in STL in high school, so if you have any questions. Let me know! Also, sign of the arrow can custom paint Lilly designs for a belt canvas.

I have a pair of ariat's that are similar! I love my boots.. nothing better. And once they get broken in they are so comfy. The hardest part for me is they are super tight around the ankle and first.. so they take some effort to get on the first few times. I would say wear them as often as possible to stretch them out. And yes, you need to go up 1/2 size because of the tightness. I'll have to check out these on amazon. Most of my family are avid horse riders and my aunt swears by frye! (she also swears by jimmy choo but that's a separate post.haha.)

xoxo.

You're going to love these! I bought them about 2 or 3 years ago during a Black Friday sale, and they are a permanent fixture in my wardrobe. Perfect for pairing with a cute sundress in the summer!
