An Ode to My Favorite Jeans

Since it seems that fall might be peeking around the corner with cooler temperatures, it's time to look forward to JEANS WEATHER! That is quite the good sign, y'all!

It is extremely difficult for me to find jeans. I actually really hate shopping for them. I used to be ALL about flare jeans. Then I went skinny--after being VERY apprehensive. I even dabbled in jeggings (which I still have and like...) I have found a very happy medium in straight leg jeans.

I present, Ava:
These Citizens of Humanity Jeans are the best that you can buy! I have THREE pairs of them and I love, love, love them!
I have a very dark wash, just like the ones pictured above and I have two lighter washes. The darker wash is professional enough looking that I can actually wear it to my internship on Fridays when we have blue jean Fridays! I like to wear them going out since they're a little darker.

They have the perfect amount of stretch, too!

The lighter wash, I love for class and work at the store! It's a little more casual and easy-going instead of the darker pair.

I cannot explain how much I love these jeans! I rarely wear any other kind of jeans anymore. They look good with flats, they look good with heels, AND you can tuck them into boots. What more do you need?

Is the "Ava" a cut you rely on? Do you have a favorite pair like me?

Outfit of the Day: Valentine's Day

February 13

I love my Elsa Pintucks that I got for Christmas! It's the PERFECT Valentine's Day top! ...too bad I wore it yesterday! I worked for a few hours and I wanted to have a fabulous pink Valentine's shirt on for my shift! It was perfect. It's been so chilly these past few days here at school that a silk shirt may not be the warmest option but it was still a good pink choice! I think for Valentine's I'm going to wear something like this:

December 18

I will, at the very least, be incorporating this dress into my look and maybe even adding my pink blazer HOWEVER, that could easily take it over the top! I've scheduled all my posts for this week since it's a crazy one (sorry in advance for all my economics tweets--we have a HUGE test Thursday--first of the semester!) so I'll be sure to update my Polyvore with the most up to date outfit choices!

Tonight I'm going to cheer on Miss Colleen (she just uploaded a BUNDLE of photos from my birthday and we just LOVED this one!) in a wonderful dating game show tonight! Isn't she so great for putting herself out there like that?! Here's to junior year... (#htjy). Anyway, those are our big Valentine's plans!

What are y'all doing for the big night? Have a great outfit? Let me know!! Happy Valentine's Day to you and all your Valentines!

Favorite Jeans

I think these are absolutely by far the BEST jeans I've ever bought! I bought them awhile ago when I was at home, but I hadn't gotten a real chance to wear them until recently. BUT WHOA!

They are Citizens of Humanity Ava jeans and straight-leg in the Faith wash. I looked them up online to see what they reviews were since I was such a big fan, and I'm totally not alone. Other people all over have agreed how great these jeans are!

They can be dressed up, dressed down, tucked into boots or even worn over heels as you can see above. I don't think I can sing their praises more! Y'all know how I can be with clothes too, but I would tell everyone right now to go buy them. One of my friends has the same pair (her jeans might be a little lighter) and she's only 5'2'' and they look great on her. I think it says a lot if the same cut of jeans look good on someone who's 5'2'' and someone like me who is 6'1''. I'm partial to dark jeans myself, but I know these come in many different washes.

The Faith wash came a little destroyed in places, and even since I've worn them a few times, I can see they're naturally distressing further. I haven't washed them yet, and that will tell a lot more about how the feel. The only drawback is that they can get VERY linty. I'm not sure if that's because of the nature of the jeans or the nature of what they're touching. Lots of other fabrics do tend to stick with it, but that's certainly nothing a little lint roller of piece of tape can't fix!

Anyone else have these jeans? Don't you just LOVE them?
