Zip It Up!

A lot of times what really makes a statement in a piece of clothing is the details. Details are KEY in these zipper pants!

They're trendy and still a classic cut with a great shape. White jeans are a staple in every girl's wardrobe (or they should be) and these white jeans with the zipper are just the BEST.
Believe it or not, these jeans get even better! I love a good swiss dot pattern and these pants feature a sweet white swiss dot on the cool blue denim!

The best part about these pants is their length. They work on all body shapes. I wear them as longer capris, but on other girls that I work with, they're funky ankle pants. There's no wrong way to wear these fun jeans!

I first saw them on one of the Lilly dream team job gals and was determined to find out where they were from. I was delighted to see (and surprised) that they were Lilly in the end! I am SO excited to wear my pair out finally! I realized that I have so many more options to wear with the blue pants than I had ever expected. Don't you just love when that happens?

Here's to spring weather and white pants season!

OOTD: Boots & Bootcut

When I see people wearing cowboy boots, they usually pair them with a dress or skinny jeans here on campus. I definitely rock my cowboy boots with skinny jeans, but I also love the look of cowboy boots UNDER bootcut jeans. It's absolutely one of my favorite fall looks! Your cowboy boots can just peek out under your jeans!
The jeans I'm wearing here are a great cut that I found at Nordstrom Rack. They're Seven for All Mankind's Skinny Bootcut--kind of the best of both worlds! I haven't seen any other brand come out with a design similar to these skinny bootcut jeans!

If you have a Nordstrom Rack by you definitely check the racks to see if they have your size. I snagged my pair for WAY under retail! Actually they were almost 90% off believe it or not!

This pair comes pretty close to mine! I am a huge fan especially for the amount of stretch in the denim material also. There is a massive amount of stretch and I feel great when I wear them.

I paired my fab bootcut jeans with this flannel shirt that I recently found at Old Navy. I've never been big into flannel and I decided to take the plunge with this shirt. I loved the sherbet-y colors of it and knew that I had pink and orange stuff to match it. The base color is neutral and would work with a ton of different accessories and bottoms.

My boots are my tried-and-true Frye Billy Pull On boots that I SWEAR by! Y'all know how much I wear these boots and I know I will have them for the next GOOD chunk of my life. I have broken them in and find them to be extreeeeeemly comfortable. The color I have is the basic brown and it really matches basically everything I own.

This has definitely been one of my favorite fall outfits that I've put together. It's rare that it's cold enough for flannel and a scarf, but I made it work! Do you wear a lot of flannel? What's your favorite denim cut?

An Ode to My Favorite Jeans

Since it seems that fall might be peeking around the corner with cooler temperatures, it's time to look forward to JEANS WEATHER! That is quite the good sign, y'all!

It is extremely difficult for me to find jeans. I actually really hate shopping for them. I used to be ALL about flare jeans. Then I went skinny--after being VERY apprehensive. I even dabbled in jeggings (which I still have and like...) I have found a very happy medium in straight leg jeans.

I present, Ava:
These Citizens of Humanity Jeans are the best that you can buy! I have THREE pairs of them and I love, love, love them!
I have a very dark wash, just like the ones pictured above and I have two lighter washes. The darker wash is professional enough looking that I can actually wear it to my internship on Fridays when we have blue jean Fridays! I like to wear them going out since they're a little darker.

They have the perfect amount of stretch, too!

The lighter wash, I love for class and work at the store! It's a little more casual and easy-going instead of the darker pair.

I cannot explain how much I love these jeans! I rarely wear any other kind of jeans anymore. They look good with flats, they look good with heels, AND you can tuck them into boots. What more do you need?

Is the "Ava" a cut you rely on? Do you have a favorite pair like me?
