Just Bitten

Yesterday, as I was running errands with my sister, we ran into Ulta so I could snag more foundation. While browsing the aisles, I remembered reading some magazine (People, Lucky, something along those lines) where they were RAVING about a lipstain called "Lovestruck". After narrowing it down to Revlon, I finally found it!

It looks VERY purple in the tube, but goes on MUCH less dramatically. I learned that stains are a lot more transparent and you have tons of control of how dark you want it. I did a simple swipe on and added some clear gloss and called it a day.

I used it last night when we went to the Hippodrome, and I. Am. Hooked. It's smooth and goes on like nothing's there. It doesn't feel sticky like lipstick and I'm never worried about it getting on my teeth (that's actually my least favorite part of lipstick). I also go another color, "Sweetheart":
I'm equally excited to try this one! I've seen it sold online and on most websites this color is designated as a "bestseller". I'm tempted to go back to Ulta and buy a red one too! At $8.99 they're super affordable that you can try all of them if your "Sweetheart" desires!

The Dry Season

I'm not referring to weather, but instead hair!

Does you hair get so dry in the winter? I usually really struggle with blow-drying my hair since my hair is so thick, and then it never really looks the way I'd hoped and it takes me 45 minutes just to get it dry.

I had a great hair dryer, it was one I got before I went to college and from Target, and it worked well, but it really lost a lot of it's kick compared to when I had originally purchased it. Recently, Misikko sent me a brand new hair dryer!
I have never used a hair dryer like this one!

When I say it takes me 45 minutes to dry my hair, that's after it's been air drying for awhile. I would post a picture or video, but y'all would get bored it takes me so long. I also am NOT skilled with a round brush, so it's probably a little inefficient on my end, but this Misikko hair dryer has totally transformed the way I do my hair! It has cut it in half AT LEAST and makes getting ready so much better and faster.

My mom is the QUEEN of blow drying and always has the perfect technique and set of brushes. Even she signed off on this hair dryer! She wants to get one herself! I'm telling you, her blow dryer seal of approval is HUGE. I bought her one last year for Christmas that she never used because it wasn't powerful enough and she signed off on this one.

I use this dryer on the highest heat setting with the fastest air and it is perfect. At the very end of my blow dry sesh, I blast the cool air for a little to cool my head off and help seal my hair--I read somewhere (where...hmm...not sure...?) that cool air is good at the end for your hair follicles. It takes me so much less time and is definitely a dryer worth checking out!

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Review

I was at Target just yesterday to pick up BIG black lawn refuse trashbags when I saw this Neutrogena face wash on sale. (Let me backtrack: the big forceflex bags are for packing all of my clothes to come home...yes, that's how I travel. They are packable, strong, and squishy in the car.). Anyway, this facewash has gotten RAVE reviews on tv, in magazines, and even with my friends. It was $4.99 for the small bottle of it. I was also in dire need of toothpaste and soap for my bathroom (typical, the essentials run out 36 hours before I leave to go home...) so I picked up the wash and a small tube of toothpaste.

I used this wash in the shower for the first time and LOVE it already. First the smell hits you, and it's not overpowering or not enough. Then you start to feel the exfoliant. That's my favorite party. It's just strong enough to feel it working and yet doesn't hurt your face. It doesn't get too soapy or too thick, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new face wash. It's not expensive across the board of washes and will last a long time since it's on the thicker side. Plus, it's PINK! Of course I would like that! I promise if you look past the goofy and cheesy commercials, I don't at all question why this product is so highly lauded!
