New Job!

Hi Everyone! Hope all is well with you! This week has been one for the record books. I had my hardest nursing test thus far as well as the hardest test I've taken in my academic career in Chemistry for Nursing. Among the scholastic whirlwind, I actually have a new job that I think you all will enjoy! About 2 hours ago, I just got off the phone with Lifeguard Press. They are the stationary/fine gifts company involved with all matters of the Lilly stationary line as well as the Vera Bradley line! You happen to be reading the blog of their newest COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE!

I'm representing USC in their newest addition! There are 30 current college reps, but that number is rising quickly as is the rate of colleges participating! We're working with our respective colleges and really hitting the collegiate scene! I cannot wait to host my first party and show the girls all the fabulous stuff that LP&LP have to offer! Here's a preview of what they've got:

Those are the circle notes, as I'm sure all of you know about! I'll be selling cups, pens, agendas, all kinds of wonderful Lilly stationary products!! I'll be getting all my advertising stuff this week, and I'll be sure to show you all! I'd love any ideas from my college bloggers about any input! Be looking for the rep on your campus soon, we're all showing up quickly!

Lilly Fall!

Hello! Sorry I've been completely MIA these days, but getting ready for school is positively taking over my life! Getting ready paired with working about 4 days a week has just taken up all my time!  Speaking of working however, Lilly fall (shipment #1) has hit stores! In 2 days we have sold 11 fall units! The stuff has only been out for 48 hours, but everyone seems to be reacting well! By far, the Sabine Shirt Dress is an early bestseller (sorry the photo is so big)!
Lilly also brought back last year's Blaney dress, which is simply adorable. With pockets and everything, it is a most-flattering dress for all shapes and sizes too. All the girls I work with have very different shapes, but many of them own a Blaney (or two or three...). One girl is even heading over to Scotland and she's named the Blaney as a staple in her to-be overseas wardrobe (best of luck aBc!) The Dale Knit top is this year's Britta top, very cute, very versatile and even comes in a (pricey) printed version! My boss has the Britta in every color it comes in--5--and loves it, the Dale surely won't disappoint

PS: get to your Michael's Craft store ASAP. In the front section they have this crazy 10/$10 section and this season it has a "Preppy Collection". I took advantage of it, buying stationary and other paper products for school like crazy! Photos to follow!

OH SHIFT!

Alright, so everyone's pretty aware of the "Oh Shift!" Lilly Christmas ornaments. Well, first, I would like to point out (Amanda C. Bee, correct me if I'm wrong) that a local signature store close to me is the inspiration. In the old store, at Christmas time and sometimes if the tags were on hand, shift-dress-package-tags were included on wrapped gifts. They were like tags that you could write to/from on that were Lilly prints, printed out on regular like computer paper and then cut out. After wrapping and bow-ing a gift, they were included where the ribbon crosses on the gift where the bow is tied (its important to point out that I adore gift-wrapping, its what I do when I work). Continuing, Lilly is putting out stationary, if you didn't know. They're putting out notecards, paper, party supplies (napkins, plates, invites, etc.), invites, thank-you notes, pens, paper, you know the deal. This is an example of some of it:

How cute?! Well, I am dreaming (and maybe this is a stretch) that these DARLING cards were also store-inspired. They've got to be correlated with the ornaments, which are related to our store, so by the transitive property (who knew that geometry would be important later in life?) they are related to the store!!!!! Again, I'll admit that this is probably a stretch, but I can be proud of the store! Either way, they are super cute and I love them!! I can't wait to get my hands on some!!
