Cinderella's Shoes for the Ball

With the Carolina Ball right around the corner, a big concern is what dancin' shoes should a gal wear?

Do you go with sassy pumps? Flats to show off your fancy feet?

What is a girl to do?

Before my big dress reveal, I will say that my dress is black, so my shoe choice most likely will be black as well. I have a good feeling I will be wearing these:
Why my black Jacks aren't QUITE "formalwear", I do trust them very much and my dress entirely covers my shoes. I hope to do a LOT of dancing and so I know I want my shoes to allow me to do so!
If I were wearing a short dress, I would absolutely wear my Jessica Simpson Calie Nude Pumps! I actually have a banquet that I will be attending on Wednesday and I'll be donning these with a blue, short cocktail dress. I am so excited to be pulling these out of my closet, I love the way they feel on and how they REALLY extend the look of your legs.
These stunning gold Tory Burch heels would match almost anything in your closet! I have tons of different options that these heels would look great with. The heel and ankle strap make it dressy enough to go from gala to wedding to bridesmaids brunch to the Carolina Ball!

What do you usually wear to your most formal events? Do you usually stick to one certain pair? What are your best dancin' shoes?

Hopefully I won't be Cinderella of the Carolina Ball myself and lose my shoes!

Outfit of the Day: Preppy Profesh Dots Dots Dots

When my mom visited a few weeks back, one of her main goals was to get me some great work clothes! This OOTD features a few of those pieces!

I am in LOVE with these pants! I can't get enough of them! They are black with neutral colored dots all over, but from far away you'd never know! We snagged these from Loft, and they have a similar pair here. Other similar pairs here, here, and here! They are VERY on-trend this season!

I paired them with an Ann Taylor top that we got from AT in Charleston on the MAJOR sale rack! I know a lot of y'all had been interested in it and I found it! Ta-da! Find it here!

I thought that this went well with gold so I added Tory Burch Reva flats and a big, round gold watch from Target!

I wore this one day to my internship at the end of October and even considered adding nude pumps too. I think that these pants can really do a lot and I think my next endeavor with them will either be a black top or a cream/neutral party cardi!

I love these polka dot pants and can't wait to wear them more!

Bows on Toes

"Bows on Bows" was a post that my friends enjoyed talking about for awhile and even ended up as chatter at a bar one night, so I figured I'd bring it back since it was popular!

Bows seem to be a big trend this year--color me a fan! I love bows whether they're an addition to a piece, an extra decoration or on the tips of your shoes!
Starting off with a BANG, these Ferragamo flats are the flats that made bows on shoes a staple. It doesn't get more classic than Ferragamo patent flats and these will ALWAYS be in style. Treat them right, and they will certainly treat you back! How could you not start with these shoes when you're talking about bows on toes?!?
I am SMITTEN with these bow pumps by Butter! I love the shimmer yet neutral characteristics about them and they are just girly enough! These would be great for Christmas, a wedding and anything and everything in between!
The reigning Queen of Flats, Tory Burch herself has even come out with a bow laden shoe great for fall and winter! This caramel color will look great with any bottoms of your choosing for fall and winter. I get so much use out of my TB Reva's that I'm sure I'd be able to find a time for these to add into the rotation!
What's not to love about these Kate Spade pumps? The mesh is a new look, but these would be TDF for the spring and if I was bold enough and confident enough, I would L-O-V-E to wear these to Carolina Cup or the Kentucky Derby!
These flats are so darling and have LBP written all over them! I'd pair these with SO much of my closet, not to mention basically ALL of the newest Lilly Pulitzer Resort 2012 sportswear. I'm obsessed with the multi-layer bows on these toes!
I have had a few pairs of Enzo Angiolini pumps in the past that I have LOVED. These are great work pumps that would go with so much since it has both black patent and neutral tones on it!

Do you like the bows on toes trend? I do! I do! I do!

Outfit of the Day: Goodbye White Pants

Since I didn't do anything at ALL yesterday except go grocery shopping at WalMart, I didn't really utilize my last day of white pants! You'll probably see me break the rule a time or two since it's so stinking hot in South Carolina for awhile, but in honor of the last day of white pants yesterday, it appears that it is time to say goodbye!

I wore this outfit to work last week! I love any version of an Elsa top by Lilly, and this embroidered one was great! The colors are fun and vibrant and coral and turquoise seems to be everywhere these days!

This was also the first day of my Tory Burch flats! I got them for a STEAL! I can't even believe! The gold is definitely something I need to get used to, but I think they'll be a lot more toned down with dark jeans and great for fall!

Goodbye white jeans!

What are your thoughts on still wearing white jeans? Yay or nay? Hello or goodbye?

Lilly Shoe Steals!

I had some time to spare tonight between getting ready for classes this week grocery shopping, and organizing my room so I did a little online browsing. I found so many great Lilly shoe deals all over the internet:
I. Want. These. They have a size 10 for half price on PreppyOutlet!!! If you're a size 10, these may not be available soon...oops. These are like great TB knockoffs while still being Lilly and adorable. Not only that, but they're flat enough for me so that it doesn't add too much height for me. The gold would go with so many different things, and transition into fall and even winter...oh man!!

Both navy and white McKims are on PO too! I have coveted both pairs at times this summer, but I've stuck with Jacks instead. Now that they're half price as well, we're talking about a different ball game! The pearlized pink ones are super cute too, but unfortunately they're not in my size! Too bad!

These gold flats are on sale at 6pm.com! I love the pink details on these, and I'd have to see if a 9.5 could work, but these are super cute! Pewter is available as well, but I know I'd wear gold more.

Spaghetti strap McKims are on sale at Splash of Pink for almost half price! They have SO many color options: black, white, silver, limeade, turquoise, daiquiri pink, and gold! You can even TEXT them to see if they have your color and size combo available!!!

Sorry the photo is so funny shaped, but at Smart Bargains, they have these super fun flats available! They're not only half price, but 74% off! What a deal! Silver is also available in the same shoe!

SB also has these flip flops at 68% off ringing up at just under $12! That's a deal if I ever heard one!

A New Reva Flat?

Everyone knows about the Tory Burch Reva flat. They're in so many of my favorite Polyvore sets and I'm just waiting for a good sale or a pair I can't live without to grab a pair of my own. This fall might be the time since I found an AMAZING pink pair:
I do have to admit that I love these! They'd definitely be worth the wait!! The classic black is always a nice option though too:

This pair would look great with jeans and all kinds of other bottoms.

I was just notified about a new TB style though, the Eddie. I was interested to learn more about these new shoes and if they become the new must-have Revas:

These are the brand spankin' new flat from Tory and I'm intrigued. They seem like most Sam Edelman flats that you can find in any big upscale department store if you ask me. At the other end of the spectrum, they look a bit like poorly made Revas without the big TB emblem.

There's another Eddie style too:

These flats remind me more of the Minnetonka Moccasins that are suede and beaded and about $110 less:

I'm definitely a Reva fan, and not yet an Eddie convert. I'd like to see them in person before I make a final call. What do you think?

Outfit of the Day: Target Shoe Spotlight

Today I rocked out a "test drive" with my Target Merona Elliana shoes. I brought them with me to wear while I was at school, but never had a great opportunity to debut them. I figured work would be as good a time as any to try them out, and it would really be the ultimate comfort test for them. Well not only did they pass, but I'd be more than willing to wear them to work again! The cushiony bottom makes them easy to walk in and easy to stand on on tile for long periods of time (5 hours in this case). The rubber sole also makes them safe and comfortable to walk fast in (i.e. grabbing dinner from the bakery across the street) and walk easily on the tile. The pads of my toes hurt a little, but I think that's more my fault than the shoes' because I'm totally not used to walking around in heels. I wear Jack Rogers to work more often than anything else, so this was totally new. Since I wore them with white jeans, no one really saw them, which was ok, it really made it easier to give a good review of them. I would totally encourage anyone who was interested in this pair of shoes to buy it! If I were to review them on the Target website, I'd hands down give them 5 out of 5 stars.

I was also interested in another pair of Target heels (I have no idea what's gotten into me recently...) and tried them on in the store. My friend Mary-Claire was trying to convince me to buy them, but I was holding back a little. I do like them a lot, but the front stacked heel/platform was a little much for me.
These also happen to be fabulous Tory Burch knockoffs if anyone was in search of them. I'd love to know anything about these if you own them!!
