Tailgate City, USA: The Dress

Your choice of outfit is among the most important choices that you'll make for Gameday! PS: How cute are all my models with their Swoozie's gear?

It's not an easy feat, but we have four FAAAABulous models all with different Gameday looks!
Jami
Jami's look is Traditional Carolina Gameday: black dress, pearls, cowboy boots and a sorority button! And she looks awesome!
Hannah
Hannah's look is Classy Carolina Gameday: patterned ruffle shift, garnet sash, black Jacks, Ray Ban Wayfarers and a sock bun! Isn't she our little Carolina Audrey Hepburn?
Jordy
Jordy's look is Cool Carolina Gameday: eyelet dress, strappy sandals, aviator sunglasses and a great garnet belt! Her look is perfect for games like the ones we've had so far when it is SO hot out!
Colleen
Colleen's look is Sassy Carolina Gameday: ruched sweetheart dress, bow belt, garnet crossbody bag, and flowery flats! Colleen's look is great when you're looking to get an awesome tan during those day games and tailgates!

What's the dress code for games at your school? Do you wear dresses or is it more of a t-shirt and jersey campus?

A quote from ESPN College GameDay sums it up perfectly:
"If South Carolina isn't the essence of Southern hospitality, I don't know what is. Those women sure know how to dress. Of course, in the South, a college football game is practically a formal event. Everyone – especially the ladies – gets all dolled up. But USC takes it to a whole new level. That football crowd is like something you would see in Vogue magazine."

Cup Dress Week: LBD's Dress

Some of my favorite hats this year are black and white and perfect for Cup! I love how big the brim of this one is and even tried it on one day at Pink Sorbet:
We really made this outfit over the top, but I LOVE how fabulous this hat is!!

Anyway, when you have a black and white hat, it limits your dress options a little! I picked a few of my favorite Little Black Dresses to pair with a great hat like that one!
This length dress would be so classy and fun for Cup! You'd be able to wear this dress to so many different functions and it's so appropriate for tons of events!
Colorblocking is such a big trend these days! It would be easy to take a colorblock dress and add that wide brim hat to top it off! I'm sure everyone would LOVE that look! I'd pair that combo with black Jacks and you'd be good to go!
I can't do allll black dresses without adding an AMAZING white option in too! This white sheath would be gorgeous on a beautiful day out in Camden! You could easily take this dress from College Park to the Infields to all the hospitality tents, happily making the Cup rounds! The possibilities are endless with this dress and the hat!

Would you wear black or white to the Cup? I say it's TOTALLY doable!

LBBD: Little Black Bow Dress

The LBD, an essential in every girl's closet. How to make a LBD better? Add a bow! I just got an email from Rent The Runway and in part of their feature today, it was all about LBD's with bows, so I have a few of their photos, and a few other LBD's from online. How cute are these?
Milly
Not to mention, this rental is only $50 for 4 days! I love a good one shoulder dress, and this material looks super cozy and comfy. I love that they featured it with stockings too!

Milly
This rental is only $50 too! How cute is this for a fancy function? I love the sheen that the dress has too!

Milly
This rental is my favorite from RTR. I LOVE this LBD and wish I had something fun to wear it to! It dips down in the back and is so classic. I love the wide band at the bottom, but I don't know if I could ever wear those heels!

Phoebe Couture by Kay Ungar
I love the waist on this LBBD. And I like that the bottom is a slightly different color that the top, it's a very wintery look if you ask me. Very fun!!

Tocca (via bluefly)
I wish I had seen this dress for Homecoming one year! It would have been so cute to wear. I have the CUTEST bow Franco Sarto two strap heels (a STEAL I found in Marshall's my junior year of high school). I'm sure this dress could even be strapless too.

BCBG (via eBay)
This dress has been around for awhile, but anytime I've seen a girl wear it, it's very flattering!  The small brooch is SO sparkly and I've seen girls wear it with black and silver heels.

BCBG
I've posted about this dress before and I'm still a fan. It's not ALL black, but I've seen this in person and it's MUCH flatter! The tiers lay closer to the body so it's not as full looking as this would make it seem. Pair this dress with champagne colored shoes, and that's a great outfit for a function or special night out!

BCBG
I know this dress isn't black, but I was recently at the BCBG outlet, and they recut a short version of this dress in black! I almost bought this dress last year, and I have complete and total buyer's remorse (or reverse buyer's remorse) for not snatching it up. I LOVE this dress, and it came out my senior year of high school and was one of my potential prom dress options. It's such a pretty dress (and pair it with a fab Vineyard Vines cummerbund and you're the best looking couple wherever you are!)

I really like the LBBD (it'll catch on eventually...we can get it out there) trend! I'm sure I'll grab an LBBD for myself for something!

LBD

I have this LBD from forever 21. You MUST BUY IT! I LOVE IT! It is the perfect cut and length to be appropriate for a span of situations. I've worn it for birthday dinners, formal meetings and I plan to rock it for a gameday! At USC, all the girls wear LBD's with garnet (NOT maroon, I've been corrected of that probably 4 times) costume jewelry. I've seen some photos and they look adorable.

I got this dress several months ago, and I've been searching for it on forever 21's website. Now, I know some of you are like "forever 21? Really?" and I totally understand because usually its hit or miss. This is a definite hit...hit and sunk (just like battleship!!). You must must must go out and buy this dress or get it online. Online ordering from forever 21 is sometimes a little shady with sizes and things, but it runs true to size. I can go between a small or medium from there, and mine is a small. I'm sure I could have gone with either one, but I got the small, so don't hesitate with sizing.

Go out and grab one for yourself A-SAP!
