Tailgate City, USA: The Dress

Your choice of outfit is among the most important choices that you'll make for Gameday! PS: How cute are all my models with their Swoozie's gear?

It's not an easy feat, but we have four FAAAABulous models all with different Gameday looks!
Jami
Jami's look is Traditional Carolina Gameday: black dress, pearls, cowboy boots and a sorority button! And she looks awesome!
Hannah
Hannah's look is Classy Carolina Gameday: patterned ruffle shift, garnet sash, black Jacks, Ray Ban Wayfarers and a sock bun! Isn't she our little Carolina Audrey Hepburn?
Jordy
Jordy's look is Cool Carolina Gameday: eyelet dress, strappy sandals, aviator sunglasses and a great garnet belt! Her look is perfect for games like the ones we've had so far when it is SO hot out!
Colleen
Colleen's look is Sassy Carolina Gameday: ruched sweetheart dress, bow belt, garnet crossbody bag, and flowery flats! Colleen's look is great when you're looking to get an awesome tan during those day games and tailgates!

What's the dress code for games at your school? Do you wear dresses or is it more of a t-shirt and jersey campus?

A quote from ESPN College GameDay sums it up perfectly:
"If South Carolina isn't the essence of Southern hospitality, I don't know what is. Those women sure know how to dress. Of course, in the South, a college football game is practically a formal event. Everyone – especially the ladies – gets all dolled up. But USC takes it to a whole new level. That football crowd is like something you would see in Vogue magazine."

Tailgate City, USA: The Spread

For the next few days, I'm kicking off this Tailgate City series!

Thanks to Swoozie's, we had a FULL tailgate spread over the weekend. The spread is the most important part to your tailgate. The spread is any and everything including tables, food, plates, cups, platters and everything in between!
Swoozie's sent us SO much fun Gamecock stuff! We had plenty to use, share, and keep using for the rest of the season!
Before we set up our official spread, I was playing around as we unpacked the car. Here's the best Heisman I could come up with with that HUGE Gamecock burlap football!
Not only did we have an awesome, full spread, but it was ALL Gamecock Gameday themed!
These buckets were a HUGE hit along with the Gamecock 1801 platters! Since it was LBP's birthday, I got some cupcakes that people enjoyed munching on all day long!
Ever seen a redneck wine glass? Our whole crew was sporting them all day!
Swoozie's even included a personalized one for me!

This was DEFINITELY the most fun I've ever had at a tailgate! I love being a Swoozie's Sweetheart and I can't wait to bring y'all more fun things as a partner with them!

MAJOR thanks to Swoozie's, Ashley with Swoozie's and the entire crew for helping me host, organize, and work our entire tailgate! Happy tailgate season y'all!!

Lilly U

It's that time of year again!

Here are my FAVORITE picks for back to school with Swoozie's!

iPhone 4 Case: I LOVE the “Spike the Punch” print! It is too cute. I also love that it features pineapples prominently! Pineapples are a sign of welcome, and what better way to welcome the new school year!

Thermal Mug: In humid South Carolina, you NEED a thermal mug! It’s an absolute back to school must have if you live anywhere that stays warm for a little! That way you drink doesn’t get sweaty on your desk, all over you notes, or while you’re at the library!

2012-2013 Large Agenda: Are you in class right now? Look around, and guess how many of your classmates have these Lilly agendas? Liiiiiiiiike, everyone, right? Right, so now pick your favorite and start scheduling! Can’t decide on your favorite print? No biggie, at only $25.95 you can get a new one at the beginning of the next semester!

iPad Sleeve: Did you make the switch from notebook to iPad? This neoprene sleeve a great way to make sure that it’s protected whether you take it in your backpack or purse!

Calculator: Now that I’m a senior in the business school, we get to use fancy schmancy calculators, but once in awhile I’ll get a professor who only allows a 4 function calculators on exams. How perfect is this? A preppy calculator that fits the simple bill!

Can Hugger: Although not exactly a school supply, my morning soda is definitely well-dressed in a Lilly koozie!

I am so excited to be collaborating with Swoozie's and hope y'all will check back in tomorrow for a special surprise--especially for those rooting for the Gamecocks!!

Tailgate City

In form following Luke Bryan's "Suntan City", I feel like this post could come out on his "Spring Break 5" EP!

Football season is right around the corner and is just about the only thing on my brain until school starts. We're figuring out which games to make roadtrips to, which games we're definitely going to, our tailgate spots, you name it, if it has to do with football, we're talking about it.

The question is though, where to get all your tailgate supplies? For the amateur, you can go to WalMart or Publix, but for us tailgate veterans, I love browsing all the fun things Swoozie's has to offer. (To all my friends, I really should rename this post, "How Katie is Going to Pimp Tailgate Spreads")
I think everyone will want one of these...
Redneck Sippers...enough said
As a matter of fact, this is already in my Swoozie's shopping cart! I have a few friends who would enjoy this too much!!!

"How to Really be a Gamecock"
A WILLY B platter?!?!? YES.

What are your tailgate essentials? I have a fun list of other essentials (food, drinks, etc.) that I can't wait to share with y'all once tailgate season gets closer!!

Gift Picks for the Preppy Graduate

The wonderful editors of the Swoozie's blog, "The Land of the Swoo" contacted me about pairing up to make some fabulous picks for graduates!! I LOVE Swoozie's! Don't you?! Here are my choices:
1. Acrylic Monogram Necklace: Just like colored denim is a fun, fabulous trend this year, so are these whimsical colored acrylic necklaces! This makes a great gift for a college OR college-bound high-school grad!

2. Personalized iPhone Case: I’m a sucker for anything madras, and if you add a monogram on there, I just about can’t resist it!! This cute cover would make any girl swoon (for Swoozie’s!). Add a big bow (and maybe even that shiny new iPhone to boot) and this cover will be perfect to give to your grad!

3. Personalized Cosmetic Case: Staying organized for a grad is always important. Maybe your new grad is moving to hall-style dorms and she’ll be sharing a bathroom with 20 girls sometimes! Maybe your new grad has moved to her posh new, hole in the wall big-girl apartment and needs a small place to keep her beauty products! Whether you’re sharing with all your floormates or your New York City new roommate, this personalized cosmetic bag will make a great “thinking of you” present!

4. Personalized Hugger: Koozies are huge in college with me and my friends! Imagine how jealous your college girl’s friends will be when they see she’s got her own pink and green monogrammed koozie! Too stinkin’ cute!!

5. Cupcake Folded Note Cards: I’m a cupcake girl through and through, so these have my name all over them! I was even known as the “Cupcake Queen” during my time in high school! I have always hand-written thank you notes for gifts, but these notes are perfect to drop friends a note who may have also just graduated and moved or friends who are away at school for the first time!

6. Chloe Necklace: In college, space is a premium and you’re pressed for what you can bring. What does that mean? Looking for pieces and accessories that match a TON of stuff! This white Chloe necklace would pair great with a pink and green shift, color blocked top, or just jeans and a t-shirt!

Are you part of the class of 2012? One of my favorite ladies, my sister, sure is!!
Happy graduation to all the members of the class of 2012!!
