Crafternoon: Clemson Cooler

I love my South Carolina Gamecocks. I will start by saying that. I do, however, live with a roommate who has a boyfriend who is a Clemson Tiger! (I know, I know, what am I doing?!)

We'd been brainstorming for about a month on what to do for his birthday cooler. I have the final product and let me say, my roommate knocked this one out of the park!

This was the front of the cooler! The blurry part is just his last name and I didn't want to share that, but it looked SO cute in her adorable handwriting! I loved the front and how closely she stuck to the Clemson theme!

This was BY FAR my favorite side! I thought Miss Kathryn did a GREAT job and how FIERCE LOOKIN' is that tiger face? AMAZING. I would also like to note that she free handed that...

This was the back and was personalized to him! Aiken is his hometown, and there's a baby Clemson paw at Clemson and a heart for her at Columbia.

Her boyfriend loves the Avatar show and follows it closely and I loved how this side turned out! I like the primary colors and how unique it is for a cooler!

Kathryn's boyfriend is an engineering major and this side was a little homage to that! I thought this idea was BRILLIANT especially since I'd never seen anything like that before on a cooler. TOO cool! 

I thought that a lot of my Clemson readers would appreciate this post! Kathryn and I were so excited when it was finished and she couldn't WAIT to give it to him for his 21st birthday! It was such a fun, thoughtful 21st birthday gift AND appropriate. I don't know what guy wouldn't want a cooler this special for his birthday!

Classic Carolina Gamecocks

While this picture isn't from last night, the Carolina Clemson regional game for the College World Series was a stressful but extremely exciting game yesterday!

There's a chance that this rivalry could meet up for a second time TODAY with Clemson playing early this morning and if they win, playing the Gamecocks again tonight!

Here's to another strong Gamecocks baseball game on our HOME TURF in Columbia!

Outfit of the Day: GO GAMECOCKS!

As I talk about a lot, I'm a tour guide at USC! I love it and it's my primary way I stay involved on campus. As a tour guide, rather University Ambassador, as we're called on campus, we recruit potential Gamecocks that are typically juniors and seniors in high school and their parents. We're gearing up for the busy season as the May 1st deadline approaches! Between now and May 1st the University hosts accepted students days, open houses and our usual campus tours that we give on a daily basis. In addition to all our tours, as University Ambassadors, we represent the University at Dance Marathon and Relay for Life as well.

I feel like the spring semester goes by SO fast between all these campus events and quick weekends. So far this semester, I've been to Clemson, Raleigh both of those events rapidly approaching. It's a very exciting semester and spring break is right around the corner--SO WEIRD! I can't believe how fast this semester has already been going! Next week I have to gear up because 1 day I have 3 tests--yikes! As I said yesterday to a friend of mine, ...here's to junior year?

Weekly Gratitude

1. I am thankful to have had such an awesome weekend at Clemson! We had a blast and I loved seeing the campus, however, I'm still PROUD to be a Gamecock!

2. I am thankful that I have a relatively easy week this week. I'm able to knock out a bunch of things that I had been wanting to! 

3. I am thankful that I will finally be able to do laundry since I don't know how long I've gone without it.

4. I am thankful that Blogger let me sign back into my account yesterday!! IT'S ABOUT TIME!

5. I am thankful that my FABULOUS Lilly Pulitzer Callahan shorts arrived last week! I was able to snag a pair in the "State of Mind" patch! If you haven't gotten a chance to see all the states up close, find yours here!

6. I am thankful so many people liked my wall hanging!! Major props to everyone who even remembered it when I've run into them, etc.! Y'all rock! I've loved seeing it being pinned on Pinterest!

7. I am thankful for my planner this semester. It has really kept me organized. I use yellow to highlight all important school stuff and pink to highlight important extracurricular stuff. It has become the BEST system!

8. I am thankful for my Econ review session tonight. I have a feeling my entire class will be showing up for the extra help!

9. I'm thankful I saw THIS post on Pinterest too, it's taught me so much about "Beauty 101"! Here's an excerpt:

My Next Roadtrip: Clemson, SC

While I will be bringing all the Gamecock pride that I can handle, I'm heading off to Cleeeeempson, SC this weekend! 

I'll be heading to the backwoods to go visit this wonderful Clemson Tiger (there are a few that I like...wouldjabelieveit?) for the weekend! Kate came to visit me for the Carolina/Clemson game (we all know how that turned out...) and we had a great time! We'll be a house divided, but I'm really looking forward to my next roadtrip! Y'all know how I love a good roadtrip and with that, roadtrip playlist! 

I've never been to Clemson, so I'm looking forward to it! I know I have some fabulous, preppy Tigers out there, so what are some of the must-do's while there? Any tips or suggestions?

I have a big ol' CLEMSON written in my planner, and I even added a little tiger paw right next to it--in orange too! Again, wouldjabelieveit?I do have to say, GO GAMECOCKS, but I'm pumped to be headed on my next trip!

Whalegate Tour!

Thanks to the Tasteful Tailgate, I was able to check out Vineyard Vines' Whalegate Tour!

VV will be in Columbia for the Carolina-Clemson game! I am so excited since I'll be coming back for the game (officially) early from Thanksgiving break. There are two events that will be going on at USC and I can't wait since I'll be back for BOTH! I can't wait to see the patchwork SUV again like at Carolina Cup:

This is one of my FAVE pictures from Cup and how great is that SUV? The VV tent was one of the first places we were able to check out and we loaded up on Vineyard Vines swag!

Tailgates and Tanlines: Luke Bryan Concert!

Last night was the UNREAL Luke Bryan concert! Never in my life have I been to such a good concert! He was GREAT live. You know how sometimes the artist doesn't sound as good live? Well, there was almost no difference except the different live changeups they made in the songs (read: all the mashups he did including but not limited to Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Vanilla Ice.)

We had SUCH a great time at this concert!

Colleen and I went together and got there VERY early. The people watching was a lot of fun and we got great spots. There was no sitting (the "venue" was a parking lot) so we wanted to make sure that we got good spots! I wore my Finn Shift in Navy that I got during the online Lilly sale with my Frye cowboy boots. Cowboy boots (or as I called them for all the men wearing them, Cowmen boots) were certainly the shoe of choice for everyone! I wore my navy Fornash clover earrings with the dress too!

One of my favorite moments was the Clemson/USC dance battle that Luke Bryan hosted on stage! He really did his homework for our college town cracking jokes about Stephen Garcia, the USC/Clemson rivalry, and congratulating us on our win yesterday. HUGE props to him for being invested in our little college town! We were instantly won over with all the Gamecock stuff he added into his songs like "Carolina girl shake it for me!" and adding in "Carolina" almost every time one of his songs says "Georgia" instead. 

OH BOY, Luke Bryan was a DRRRRREAMBOAT. We were swooning with that million-dollar smile and dance moves all night long! We joked that he must have been a dancer in a former life, he was so smooth!!! We had a GREAT time and I will happily attend another Luke Bryan concert in the future!
